A Prophet Dies

Tonight I heard the sad news. President Gordon B. Hinckley, prophet and leader of our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died tonight at age 97. I am saddened. It is almost like the death of a friend. He was such an inspired man and a great leader. He loved all the people in the world. He taught what the Savior would have him teach. He will be missed.

I feel so blessed, however, to know that the Lord has established an order. The church never is without leadership and a new prophet will be called and set apart and given inspiration to lead the world at this time. How blessed I am to have this knowledge.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I thought that only my family was reading it. That's what I get for taking off my blog tracker..

I've love your tribute to President Hinckley. I definately feel the same way.

I love the fact that there are so many LDS moms that are out there sharing their lives and stories. I'm addicted.

I am so sad just to think about it. I heard today already when my uncle called. You are right, it was like the death of a friend. But I am happy for him at the same time because he was too good of a man to go anywhere else but the Celestial Kingdom. Yay for President Hinckley!!!

I heard kids in HS are dressing in white or church clothes today as a tribute the Pres. Hinckley.
