Profound Quote

DH and I were talking the other day about life. It reminded me of my very favorite quote. It came from a movie that came out in '93 or '94, but I don't recall the title.

"The pain now is part of the happiness then."

This is my favorite. It is so true. So much of what causes us heartache and pain stems from something that brought us such happiness, a hard break-up, a friend moving away, the death of a loved one, etc. If we had never had that joy than the pain would not be real. Is it worth it? Almost always the answer is "Yes."

Just thought I'd share.

I remember this too! It's from that movie "Shadowlands" about C.S. Lewis and his love interest. Great quote and so true!

Found you blog from TT. I love this quote. C.S. Lewis is awesome. He was a very wise Christian man, which is why his quote is so deep.

My 18 yr old daughter has read all of his books. My husband got her hooked on the books. They book think deep like that. I don't, but I I get a lot out of it when they share what they've read.

Here's another one you might like:
Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point.
