Family Vacation Day 3: Sunday, July 27th, 2014

Sunday was a great day.  We woke up and looked out the windows of our beach house....it was gorgeous!  We could see the ocean one side and a cove on the other.  Beautiful.

We had the opportunity to attend a little branch about 30 minutes north of our beach house.  It was the closest congregation and so off we went.  It is so wonderful to feel the same spirit and to be reminded that the gospel is indeed the same everywhere.  With our six kids, we made quite an impression and we WERE the noise.  There were very few children and they were all quieter than V and Baby C.  There were only two young women and K was one of them.  The other young woman usually is alone.  There were 15 or so young men though.  V was one of two in nursery.  J was one of three in Junior primary and A was one of nine in Senior primary.  I was wiped out from the two days before and it made it a little harder to concentrate.  Good thing the Spirit was so strong.  Oh, and when Baby C needed to eat, I had to head out to the car - no mother's room in this little building.

A member of the Branch Presidency came and told us of how unusual it was to have tourists visit.  He paid us a complement saying that he knew we had testimonies because we packed our Sunday clothes for the beach and then woke our kids up and came.  Yes.  I hope that our children always remember that our testimonies are strong enough to cause us to do this.

After church, we went back to our house and had a quick lunch and some much needed nap/quiet time.

Dinner was an adventure.  I had planned carefully what we needed and brought much of it with us from home.  The rest for Sunday we'd tried to pick up the night before.  But....I forgot to bring a key ingredient from home.  We had to improvise.  It turned out okay and the kids were very accommodating.

After having scriptures and prayer, we changed out of our Sunday clothes and headed to the beach.  We wanted to see what we might need to bring on Monday and see the ocean.  It was sunset and absolutely beautiful.  The weather was perfect.  God has indeed created a beautiful world for us to live on.
