First Football Game

 

J had his first football game on Saturday.  He has never played sports on a team before.  This was an interesting day.  He was so excited!

Here are the teams getting called out before the game started.  The cheerleaders were even there to cheer for them!

All the kids rotated taking the ball, playing center, etc..  J (#11) was able to carry the ball twice.  Both times he did well.  The second time he was able to outrun the defenders and not have his flags pulled.  He didn't know what to do when he was all alone.  He might have been able to make it all the way to a touchdown, but he slowed down to look for where the defenders are.  He had an amazing run, but not TD.  Not bad for a first game.  His coaches voted him "Most Christ-Like" for his effort on sportsmanship.  That is such a great award.  I am proud of him.  Below is V enjoying the football game.  The sun was bright and the wind was cold....but she had a toy to chew on = life is good.

I am blessed to be J's mom and K's mom and C's mom and A's mom and V's mom.  So lucky!  So blessed!  :)
