Family! (July 5-7, 2014)

Last weekend, CK's brother, D, and his family came to visit us.  We are so grateful that they came.  We love them and rarely get to see them.  What a great, although busy weekend.

They got in Saturday night.  Sunday, we went to church, rested, and then headed to the water gardens.

Above are C, T, J, K, K, D, K, and K.  Wow.  I guess we have a lot of K names amongst our two families!

Sunday evening, after V was in bed, we got to play a game together.  It is always fun to be together.

Monday morning, we headed down to the stockyards together.  It had not been summer-warm yet, but it was HOT on Monday!  Welcome to summer 2014!

Thank goodness that they had installed cooling fans.  The kids (especially J) loved them.  They really did help keep us cool.

What a great looking bunch!!  They are all waiting for the cows.  It isn't much to see, really, but when you visit Cowtown, it is a must.

She has the best seat!

The boys all had to test their wingspans.

After watching the cows, the kids all had to buy candy, then it was time for the classic maze.  The kids all had a blast.  Worth the $6 admission each!

While we were watching the kids race through the maze and taking pictures, V really wanted a picture too.  So, here it is.

Next, we all went to eat at our favorite classic Texas Barbeque place.  It is always sad to say goodbye, but this was definitely a great final together time.  The food was yummy, the company was outstanding, and we had a back room to ourselves.
Baby C was a celebrity.  Everyone wanted to hold him, take pictures with him, and make him laugh.  He truly is fun to be around and our dear family had not met him before.

K and K.

J and K are great friends.  They are almost exactly a year apart and they have so much fun together.  K was lifting J and then J was lifting K.  This is the way young boys say good-bye, I guess.

We are so lucky to have had the K family visit us.  We love spending time together.  We sure wish that we lived closer to each other.  The distance makes it impossible to see each other more than once a year at the most.  This year we aren't going to get to Idaho and so we would not have seen them, except they made it here!  Thank goodness!
